About Pastor Dave

Until my retirement 2 years ago, I pastored an independent Bible church in Northwest Montana for nearly 38 years. During that time I also helped establish a Christian school, and a Bible Camp. I am married and have children and grandchildren. The Wisdom of the Week devotional is an outgrowth of my desire to share what God is doing in my life and in our world, and to challenge you to be a part.

A Christmas Tradition

Merry Christmas!  We are so grateful that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (Jn. 3:16).  With the Apostle Paul we say, “Thanks be … Continue reading

Created for Light

In just a few days, those of us in the northern hemisphere will experience the shortest day and longest night of the year. It is called the “winter solstice,” which  occurs when either of Earth’s poles reach its maximum … Continue reading

Adventures

Many of our memories center around  “adventures”  that our family has been on, when we stepped out of our normal routine, and often out of our “comfort zone,” and ventured into the unknown to do something we had … Continue reading

I Can See

We were in the optometrist’s office last week picking up some new glasses.  Also in the office were a mother and her three daughters, two of whom had just tried on their very first glasses. It was fun … Continue reading
